These are settings for a cool lead sound using a Peavey Audition 110 practise amp to use at very low volumes. Setting the knobs on the Amp. |
| Lead Channel: I've used the lead channel on the Peavey to warm things up a bit. The clean channel is very brittle & sterile at low volumes and I prefer to have a bit of crunch that can be cleaned up using my guitar's volume. |
| Pre: 6 (surprisingly high but
gives a nice crunch sound.) Post: Low Low: Max Mid: 1 (just enough mid so at not to make it sound too distant). High: 5 |
| GT-6: Drive setting:Distortion Drive: 55 Bass: +30 Treble: 0 Level: 100 |
| Delay Single 420ms F/B: 16 Flat Level: 6 This delay seems quite dull despite having Flat EQ. I can only assume this is down to the guitar speaker. Patch Level: 10 - Very low to ensure no clipping on Output meter. If this is much lower than your other patches on the GT-6 you could reduce the level on the Distortion. Keep checking the meters in the Utility section. Output: 10.30 o'clock Output Select: Small Amp Overall this will sound better at higher volume levels but when you've got neighbours to consider it's not a bad compromise. If you change the volume, you can tailor the sound using the EQ on the Peavey. |
